The egg. The genetic make-up of any creature does not change during its life. The first creature which could reasonably be called a hen must have been a hen ever since it was inside the egg. If it didn`t come from an egg, it wouldn`t be a hen. Its parents, on the other hand, might not have been hens. The hen`s egg must have come, must have been visible, before the hen. Believe me, it`s the egg. I think you will find that most eggsperts agree.
